My husband has been taking phosphatidylserine for about 6 months included in MentaFit for memory and some depression. It seemed to help some but when I re-ordered the product it was an entirely different product and now includes Vinpocetine which I’m told is much superior. The company says to try it. He is in good health otherwise. Does the Vinpocetine help with depression?
It is not proven to help with depression. The one benefit it could have is if the depression is related to physiological reasons and possibly there is some inflammation in the body that would interfere with brain function, it helps open up the arteries and enable better blood flow in the brain. If the depression is situational or from emotional reasons, it will not do anything.
